The election victory of right-wing populists in Hungary and Serbia have shown that right-wing populist parties continue to be successful players in European politics. And the upcoming elections in France and Slovenia also offer right-wing populists good prospects for success.
It is therefore crucial to better understand the right-wing populist challenge. In this report, we present an empirical and qualitative assessment of right-wing populist parties (RWPPs) in 17 European countries.
