Project: Youth Studies Position 

Duration: 10 hours a week between August 1 – December 31 2026

Location: FES Regional Office for International Cooperation “Democracy of the Future” in Vienna/ Possibly Remote

Background:

The Youth Studies is one of the flagship projects of FES and aims to understand the perspectives, values, and perceptions of young people on various topics, including democracy, migration, employment, societal values, and more. Through surveys and data analysis, the project seeks to provide valuable insights into the experiences and viewpoints of youth in different parts of Europe and beyond. 

Position Overview:

We are seeking a part-time project assistant to support our team in building a new website for the Youth Studies project. The PA will play a crucial role in enhancing data visualization, provide support in data analysis, creating data summaries, generating news briefs, organizing project-related folders and documents. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in political science or a related field, possess data analysis skills, and be proficient in English.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Data Visualization: Create clear and engaging interactive graphs and visualizations using data from the current and previous cycles of the Youth Studies.
  • Data Analysis Support: Contribute to data analysis activities related to the project.
  • Data Summaries: Produce concise data summaries that highlight key findings and emerging trends from the project’s surveys.
  • News Briefs and Reports: Prepare news briefs and reports that synthesize important project updates and research findings.
