Project: Youth Studies

Duration: 20 hours/week between the 15 January 2026 - 15 June 2026

Location: FES International Office for Regional Cooperation, Team “Democracy of the Future” in Vienna (remote possible)

Background:

The Youth Studies is one of the flagship projects of the Friedrich Ebert Foundation and aims to understand the perspectives, values, and perceptions of young people on various topics, including democracy, migration, employment, societal values, and more. Through surveys and data analysis, the project seeks to provide valuable insights into the experiences and viewpoints of youth in different parts of Europe and beyond.

Service description:

• Data Visualization: Create clear and engaging interactive graphs and visualizations using data from the current and previous cycles of the Youth Studies.
• Data Analysis Support: Contribute to data analysis activities related to the project.
• Data Summaries: Produce concise data summaries that highlight key findings and emerging trends from the project’s surveys.
• News Briefs and Reports: Prepare news briefs and reports that synthesize important project updates and research findings.

As we are financed by public funds, we are issuing this request officially to various providers and will award the contract based on the criteria below, which are also weighted:

Qualifications - Necessary:

1. Proficiency in English (written and spoken) 15 %
2. Knowledge of data analysis and survey methodologies 15 %
3. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail 15 %
4. Ability to work independently and as part of a team 15 %
5. Price 15 %

Qualifications - Good to have:

1. Knowledge of data visualization tools (e.g., Excel, Tableau, or similar) 10 %
2. Knowledge of German 5 %
3. Basic website development skills (HTML, CSS) 10 %
