OSCE RARE Human Rights Defenders Workshop

In November 2021, FES Democracy of the Future co-hosted a workshop of the Recharging Advocacy for Rights in Europe (RARE) initative developed by Hertie School, Hungarian Helsinki Committee and Netherlands Helsinki Committee. RARE brings together 26 leading human rights defenders from 13 EU member states in a two-year capacity- and alliance-building program that aims to invigorate joint advocacy and solidarity action for protecting the rule of law and civil society space in the European Union.

The workshop (Camp V of the RARE programme) consisted of a two-day policy writing workshop for RARE participants aiming to improve their skills and increase the impact of their policy writing and a networking and discussion part with representatives of the OSCE and Austrian NGOs.
