OSCE Report • with a contribution by FES Democracy of the Future

The OSCE Network Paper "Is the OSCE Sliding into Irrelevance? Engaging with human rights defenders to address the rollback of the rule of law in the European Union" provides a candid analysis of the OSCE's relative ineffectiveness in protecting the rule of law and combatting the shrinking space giving detailed recommendations how the institution may better mobilize its resources and mandate to support human rights defenders in Europe.

The paper is lead-authored by Marta Achler (EUI), Bernhard Knoll-Tudor (Hertie School) und Marta Pardavi (Hungarian Helsinki Committee) with a small contribution and organisational support by FES Democracy of the Future.
